Katif isreli is a student summer program, established to adress the major deficiency of working hands in the Israeli agricultural field.
The program does this by intergrating student groups in agricultural work during the summer brake, while combining educational programs about Zionism, Judaism, Agriculture and Environmental Studies.
About the project
The agricultural work
The Israeli agricutural field suffers from an acute deficiency in qualitative working hands. The program will provide a substantial boost to the respective agricultural fields in Israel by integrating a qualitative student workforce into the agricultural work branches of apple, date and vineyard picking during the summer vacation months.
The program will provide its' members with an enriching and meaningful social experience that will combine farming with an educational program. The life in a group which combines learning and intensive work experiences, has the potential to form strong social bonds in a cohesive group.
